Starting point

Wiltshire
SN2 2QP

We will build on last weeks ride to Ashton, where we will add a short loop out to the Wild Olive Cafe at South Cerney.

Please arrive at the Moredon Sports Hub in time for the groups to leave at 09:00hrs. We will make our way to the outskirts of Swindon using mixture of Cycle Paths and quite estate type roads. We will then leave Swindon via Ridgeway Farm on the B4553, riding north up to the 'closed road' at Packhorse Corner. We will continue riding north on the almost traffic free route known as the 'closed road, before crossing the B4553 just south of Cricklade. We will then head north through Chelworth, Ashton Keynes and on to quiet roads to the Waterparks for our well earned coffee at Wild Olive Cafe at Butts Farm. The return route sees us cycle south along the Time Trial course to Cricklade, where we return to Swindon picking up the 'closed road' just south of Cricklade. The whole route is circa 26 miles and very flat. Some groups may use the alternative return route form the 'lego bricks' utilising the Cycle Route 45 back to Swindon, avoiding the last few inclines as you enter Swindon

We welcome anyone to join us and ride with us, whether this is your first time or someone who has participated on previous rides. We will never leave anyone behind. Riders who have missed previous rides / weeks are always welcome to join this weeks ride. All we ask is that new riders arrive approximately 10 minutes before scheduled start time.

Please bring a bottle for your bike with your favourite thirst quencher and snacks to keep you going. For all your rides we recommend that you bring a spare inner tube that is suitable for your bike, plus a pump. We request that all riders wear a cycle helmet (compulsory for children). If your wheels are bolted on, then please bring a spanner that fits your bike’s wheel nuts. You should dress appropriately for the weather and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or a debit card. Some places only accept card payments these days.
