T.L.C. to Braidwood

Starting from car park at Teviotdale Leisure Center, Mansfield Road, Hawick.
Heading along cycle-path emerging onto Hamilton Road before turning right to leave Burnfoot. Up and over Courthill to Appletreehall cross roads. Turning right, we remain on this undulating road until Bowden cross roads. A left turn takes us onto the busier A699 St. Boswells to Selkirk road for a short while. We take the left turn onto uncl road to Midlem. Uphill through the village then turn right to Bisley @ Braidwood.
Our refreshment stop is at Oscar's.
Return journey takes us downhill through Midlem, over the bridge at Midlem Mill, through the 'Leaf and onward and upwards to Horseleyhill before turning left over Courthill, right to Burnfoot and onto the cycle-path from Hamilton Road back to the car park at TLC.

Ensure your bike is in working order and tyres inflated. Spare inner tube and tools for your particular bike. Helmets mandatory, gloves advisable. Suitable clothing for weather. If using E-bike, please ensure your battery has full charge. If you have a mechanical, please have a back up plan to get yourself home. Money/card for cafe. Water/snack.
Route mainly on quiet B class roads with short section on A class.
