She Pedals Scotland 2026 are encouraging as many women and girls as possible to get out on their bikes between 19th and 21st June 2026, so in support of such a wonderful initiative, we thought a pedal round the Leaplins would be just the ticket and would love if you could join us.
For this ride we'll be doing it in reverse from the usual. We'll meet at the bottle bank and head out by Hasendean and onwards to Lilliesleaf. Turning left at the old Jammy Coo we'll continue towards the A7 where be briefly cross to Ashkirk.
We'll pass the golf club and soon after, encounter a bit of a climb as we approach the Leaplins. Spinning at our own pace, we can stop at the top and take in the wonderful views before heading onwards to Hawick past Roberton, finishing our ride at the Pavilion Cafe at the Park.
We won't be stopping at a cafe on route but it might be an idea to bring something to eat on top of your usual drink, incase you need a wee boost.
We'll stop whenever required, so don't worry. There is a challenging hill so this ride is not suitable for beginners.
Please wear a helmet and gloves are advisable. Wear clothing suitable for the weather and ensure your bike is in good working order and your tyres pumped up. With so many different models of bikes, we also ask you have spares too.
If you have an ebike please ensure it's charged and you have a plan to get home in the event of an electrical/mechanical.
If you're also able to register on 'She Pedals Scotland' it would be appreciated. Details can be found on their Instagram and Facebook page.
