Great Wishford & Wilton via the Woodford Valley

Setting off through Stafford Sub Castle we breeze down the Woodford Valley turning left at the Bridge Inn, cycling past the closed Heale House to turn up Church Bottom and to the Devizes Road. Relief comes free-wheeling down Mile Hill, turning left in Stoford, and going through Great Wishford and Water Ditchampton to our well deserved coffee stop in Wilton. Afterwards we take the flattest way back to Salisbury through Quidhampton, unless we continue round the busy Netherhampton Road returning to Salisbury via Netherhampton and Harnham Town Path - or for the intrepid Hill- climbers, we can breeze up the Avenue and down Snakey.
