Breeze Big Picnic

A route of approximately 18 miles taking in undulating countryside as well as a few hills.
Starting at the St Albans Cycle Hub (within the Cottommill Community and Cycling Centre) parking here is free. We will cycle out on a selection of roads and traffic free routes between St Albans and Stanborough lakes. Here we will meet other breeze groups and stop for refreshments and catch up with other breeze ladies from around the county.
You can either take some picnic bits with you or use the cafe that is on site.

We will aim to cycle at the pace of approx 8-10mph, we will always wait and let the group catch up and of course wait at the top of hills. The surface around the lakes is a compacted gravel surface, the rest of the ride is on road/paved surfaces. It can be ridden on whichever bike you are most comfortable on with regard the length and pace of the ride.


Now for the Covid bit….
Although Covid restrictions have been lifted we are asking all riders to be respectful to the other riders. Please do not attend if you have Covid symptoms.

Please remember to bring with you
- Helmet
-Spare inner tubes for your bike and appropriate tools, even if you don't know how to change an inner tube there are other people in the group to help.
-A water bottle with a drink in, cycling can be thirsty work.
- Appropriate clothing for the weather.
- Purse/Wallet/card if you want refreshment at the end.
