Whitstable Oyster Belles

Welcome to Whitstable Oyster Belles cycling based in Whitstable. We are a group of like-minded women who cycle for leisure and fitness, but who may be thinking of taking that next step to joining a cycling club but need the confidence to do so.

You will need to be reasonably fit as this group is not for beginners. We mainly ride together once a month on a weekend day, but may also have the occasional ad-hoc mid-week ride. The purpose of our rides is to have fun, make friends, build confidence and explore the local area. Ride distances will be between 25 and 40 miles on a mixture of country roads and town roads, and we are looking to achieve an average of 12mph – this is a bit faster than your leisurely family ride. This is all dependent on the time of year and the weather and will always include a coffee stop, either during the ride or at the end.
