Watford Cycle Hub to the Tea Shack at Woodoaks Farm. Meet Tour de Ricky Finishers and visit the Active Wellbeing festival)

The Tour de Ricky (with rides from 50km to 200km around the beautiful Chilterns) runs on the 1st June, and the riders finish at Woodoaks Farm in Maple Cross, home of the Tea Shack (for cakes) and Creative Juices Brewing (for beer).

In 2024 the farm are making a day of it and running an active wellbeing festival, with loads of activities for the whole family.

We'll head out along The Ebury Way which follows the route of a disused railway track through trees, passing near gravel lakes and rivers.

Where The Ebury Way crosses over the Grand Union Canal we'll join the canal towpath for the journey to Rickmansworth before joining a cycle path on the Uxbridge Road for a short distance to The Tea Shack. The return journey will be along quiet roads through Mill End and back along The Ebury Way to Watford Cycle Hub.

Refreshments at The Tea Shack

Please ensure you wear a helmet and bring spare inner tubes and cash/card with you for refreshments/emergencies. Plenty of free car parking at Watford Cycle Hub.

First-timers and kids welcome, but please make sure they're confident on a bike and will take direction (not wander off the canal towpath) - parents need to be responsible for their own children as the ride leaders have the whole group to watch :)

Festival Details:

-Watford Cycle Hub will be on hand to give your (kids and adult) bikes a simple service.
-Freewheel are back again alongside the Ridgeback Bikes kids cycle circuit PLUS the first 100 children arriving by bike on the farm will receive a medal ✨
