This is a lovely route following the Taff Trail to Pontypridd and returning on another cycle path as far as Cross Inn where we will join some narrow, quiet lanes before Peterston Super Ely and then the familiar route back to Hailey Park.
The last 12 miles are a bit more undulating.

A lovely circular ride making the most of our cycle paths and quiet lanes

Two thirds of this ride is traffic free as we will be following the Taff Trail all the way to Pontypridd. We will stop at the cafe in Ynysangharad Park before retracing our steps for a short distance. We will then cross the river in Pontypridd and head down on another cycle path towards Llantrisant. The last 12 miles will be on quiet lanes as we cycle through the villages of Cross Inn, Rhiwsaeson, Groesfaen and Peterston Super Ely as we head back towards Cardiff.

We will stop at the Lido Cafe in Ynysangharad Park for refreshments. Please note this is fairly early on in the ride, so you may want to bring a snack with you for the remainder.

Please bring your helmets, spare inner tube and a pump and also a card or cash if you wish to buy refreshments.

We never leave anyone behind
