To Welwyn Village and possibly beyond….

This is a longer route, but very pretty and worth the effort. It is suited to anyone who is comfortable with the distance, and we welcome newcomers and returners.
We set out through the residential roads of Harpenden and on to Wheathampstead and Ayot St Peter before our coffee stop in Old Welwyn. We return via Ayot St Lawrence. We will ride at a gentle pace to suit the riders, and regroup at the top of the inevitable hills.

A picturesque ride

We will be riding on quiet residential roads and country lanes, with short sections of busier roads.

We will stop in Welwyn Village for a coffee, and have the option of a short detour to see the Danesbury Fernery if time allows.

Helmets are compulsory on the ride. Please make sure that your tyres are pumped up and your bike is in good working order, and bring along a spare inner tube in case of punctures. Other than that, plenty of fluids and waterproofs/sunscreen as appropriate!
