Thursday Morning Breeze Ride to The Coffee Shack at Ashley (avoiding Mill Lane & Castle Mill Lane!)

Lindow Common car park to the Coffee Shack at Ashley. We will avoid the challenging hill on Mill Lane and Castle Mill Lane (for now!)

We will be riding on shared traffic-free paths and roads. The pace will be steady but we are not racers and we like to have fun. The rise along Mill Lane and Castle Lane can be challenging so, for this ride, we will go an alternative route that isn’t so difficult. We will leave the car park and ride down to the airport tunnels. Once through them, we will continue until we reach the BP petrol station and then turn left past Amazon etc. The rest of the route will be along pleasant and quiet roads in Hale until we reach AshleyRoad. We only ride for a short distance on Ashley Road, before we turn off for the Coffee Shack. The route back will take us past Barnshaw Smithy and it will be our usual route from there via Graveyard Lane back to the start point.

We will stop for coffee at the Coffee Shack, which is a lovely wooded area, hidden from the main road.

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and is suitable for the weather forecast. Please bring some money to buy a drink and/or snack. Helmets and a lock to secure your bike are advised and it is recommended that you carry a spare inner tube. (If you need to buy one for next time, you can find the size you need on the rim of your tyres.) If you’d like to join us, please join the Breeze Wilmslow group to be able to book your place. New members to the group are always welcome, whether you are a recent rider, a returner after many years absence, or an experienced rider. We never leave anyone behind. (You do need to have basic cycling skills, your bike must be roadworthy and please make sure your tyres are pumped up and are firm before leaving home.)
