The Lions Den

___________ This hybrid ride will depart from Rivington on minor roads before we can utilise our first bridleway of the ride approx. 2 miles in. We will try to stay off road as much as possible but there are always major roads to cross over. We will head over towards Standish and travel on designated cycle ways before arriving at our rest stop.

We will be having brunch so please bring some pennies along with a snack and drink for the ride. This is a circular route therefore after we have had our fill, we will burn off the calories on a couple of ups and downs before cycling along the canal.

As always, the English weather is often unpredictable so please dress appropriately. It’s better to take layers off, then have none to put on if its chilly or wet! We are not fair weather cyclists!

As always, a helmet is essential along with a spare inner tube, pump, lock etc but don't worry too much if you don't have the latter. Also as we will cycle on a couple of roads, please bring lights.
