“The Glass Heart” at Two Temple Place

Please note: this is a one-way ride. You will need to make your own way home at the end of the ride.

We will ride from Ealing into Central London, taking our familiar route via Ravenscourt and Holland Parks, then through the Royal Parks to Parliament Square and onto the C3 Cycleway along the Embankment. We will reach the Temple area in time for refreshments at the lovely Garden Room café https://www.middletemple.org.uk/lunch/garden-room.

We then have the option of visiting the Two Temple Place Gallery to view the current free exhibition, “The Glass Heart” https://twotempleplace.org/exhibitions/the-glass-heart/. Not only is the exhibition full of beautiful artefacts, but the building itself is renowned for its lavish architecture and decoration, including elaborate wood carvings and vibrant stained glass.

You are free to make your way home in your own time, by bike or on public transport. It is a short ride to Blackfriars station (District Line, ThamesLink) or else to Farringdon (Elizabeth Line, Metropolitan Line), or you could retrace the route back to Paddington.

Ride into Central London with option of visiting free exhibition at the Two Temple Place Gallery.

Quieter roads where possible, segregated cycle tracks and shared paths through parks.

Brief pause at Holland Park. Refreshment stop at Garden Cafe before optional visit to Gallery.

Locks for bike. Money/card for refreshments.
