Starting point

London
NW10 3SH

A steady ride to Syon and Osterley parks, with a mix of roads and segregated gravel paths. This ride is for those who have some confidence cycling in normal traffic, although we ride mainly through quiet roads or cycling paths.

We cycle through Ealing to Syon Park, and carry on to Osterley Park using a mix of normal traffic roads with cycle paths, and stop there for a coffee break at the Stables Café. On our way back, we cycle along the Grand Union Canal joining Brent River Park with a scenic view of Wharncliffe Viaduct. We ride through Ealing roads again until we join the Grand Union Canal near Harlesden.

Brent River Park is a fairly rough terrain so road bikes with skinny tyres aren't recommended on this ride. Expect muddy paths especially if it had rained recently. We aim to be back before 3pm.

If you find this ride fully booked, get in the waiting list as spaces always become available nearer the date. However, please do not sign up if you’re not sure you can join.

IMPORTANT POINTS: *Helmets aren't compulsory but advisable. *Check that your tyres are pumped and bring a spare inner tube and all necessary tools in case of a puncture. *If you can't make it anymore, please cancel your space so someone else can join. *Only riders who booked themselves on the ride will be allowed to join. *Unless the weather takes a nasty turn making it unsafe or unpleasant to cycle, this ride will go ahead even if it rains. Dress for the weather and bring a rain coat just in case. *Please be advised that we video record our rides which are later published on YouTube @PlacesWhereMyBikeTakesMe. By joining our rides you are authorising your image to appear on the video.
