Celebrating Watford Hub’s 10 th Birthday

We will be cycling approximately 16 miles from Leavesden cycle hub and be travelling along quieter roads and cycle paths ( some cycle paths are compact surfaces not tarmac) with a few sections of slightly busier roads to get to Watford cycle hub.Here we will stop for refreshments and a comfort stop, We can have some free time here to observe/enjoy the various activities that are happening to celebrate the 10 th year of WCH.
We will aim at a pace of between 9-10 mph, always waiting to let the group catch up and of course wait at the top of hills. This ride is suitable for any bike so please ride what you are most comfortable on with regard to the length, pace and tracks.
We will pass through various places unknown to non residents of the local area, so we will explore new areas to cycle in.
Now for the Covid bit…..
Although Covid restrictions have been lifted we are asking all riders to be respectful to the other riders.
Please do not attend if you have Covid symptoms or have been in contact with people who have Covid.

Helmet
Spare inner tubes for your bike
A water bottle with a drink in, cycling can be thirsty work
Appropriate clothing for the weather
Purse/wallet if you would like to purchase refreshments
A lock for your bike.
