Starting point

London
W5 2BY

Our route will take us from Ealing Town Hall through Walpole Park, Lammas Park, into the Brent River Park, Elthorne Park, onto the River Brent tow path leading on to the stunning Hanwell Flight of locks, past the Three Bridges, into Glade Lane Canalside Park and into Southall Park.
We will take a break in Southall Park and those who wish to, will be able to try out the gym equipment that is available for public use in this park. Our route will then take us through back streets to cycle along the edge of the West Middlesex Golf Club and into the River Brent Park. We will push our bicycles up a gentle footpath in Hanwell Park to reach St Mary’s Church and admire the view of the Hanwell viaduct. Our route then takes us under the railway bridge and onto Hanwell Clock Tower. We will cross the Uxbridge road and use a few back streets, before rejoining the Uxbridge Road opposite Church Road, where the road is less busy with parked cars and the cycle path is safer. We will then reach the Broadway in West Ealing where we will be able to use once again some back streets to reach our coffee/snack stop at the Mahaba Café, an establishment that aims to help people with learning disabilities into employment.

We will attach our bicycles outside the café, therefore please bring good bicycle locks and some money/card for your refreshments.
After our stop, we will only have a short cycle to get back to Ealing town hall, using mainly quieter back streets.

This is an ideal ride for cyclists who want to get back on their bicycle and enjoy the local green spaces within the borough of Ealing. The ride will only have small inclines, we will go at a leisurely speed and nobody will be left behind.

This route will use various cycle paths and quieter roads, avoiding as much as possible busy roads and traffic and will travel at a leisurely pace, however we will use a short stretch of the cycle lane along the Uxbridge Road.

Our coffee/snack stop will be at the Mahaba Café, an establishment that aims to help people with learning disabilities into employment. https://www.mahabacafe.org/

Helmets aren't compulsory but advisable. Check that your tyres are pumped and bring a spare inner tube and all necessary tools in case of a puncture. Bring some money/card for the refreshments in the café. Bring Locks for your bicycle. We will need to park our bicycles outside our café stop. Bring Water & snacks as our refreshment stop will only be towards to end of our ride.
