Sofa to Sportive 5. Glasson Dock 50 miles

We ride from Bilsborrow, Lancs and take a mostly country lanes passing through a number of small hamlets to Glasson Dock. We will head back via Knott End to Ferry watch and get our second wind before heading back via St Michaels on Wyre, Myerscough and back to Bisborrow.

A 50 mile road ride to end the Sofa to Sportive series

Some initial short stretches on A roads then mostly B roads and country lanes. The ride is a 50 mile flat route

We will take a stop at Glasson Dock, where there is an outdoor takeaway food wagon. A further rest stop can be taken in the 2nd half of the ride at Knott End

Please be equipped with your own basic bike repair tools and inner tubes /puncture repair. Helmets are not required by law but are required on HRS road rides. Personal first aid and any equipment such as face masks, wipes and hand gel is the your own responsibility. Any money needed for a cafe stop. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF FEELING UNWELL OR WITH COVID SYMTOMS

This is particularly aimed at Ladies either new to road riding or wanting to improve their road riding fitness and confidence. We will try to ride at a pace of 10 to 12 mph. Sofa to Sportive Road Rides for Ladies This route is aimed at ROAD BIKES only. Please do not book if you intend to use a Hybrid. We ride at the pace of the group and regularly re group
