We will be starting at the cafe Coffee Plus on Rhydypenau Road. We will be crossing Cardiff to Heath, Rhwbina, Whitchurch and then going up the Taff Trail to Caerphilly. After Caerphilly and Bedwas there is a steep climb up Pandy Lane towards Maesycymmer. We climb up passed Bryn Meadows Golf Club and then descend towards Sirhowy valley on traffic free trails. Then onto B road to Risca where we stop for refreshments. We continue onto Rogerstone and then climb up over the hill towards Olds St Mellons. Arriving in the new Bridge Estates and onto the Eastern Suburbs back to Cyncoed.

A lovely loop through the lanes and trails from Cardiff to Caerphilly, Maesycymmer and onto the Sirhowy Valley, with 2 cafe stops, 1 in Bedwas and another stop in Risca. This is a challenging ride with over 2,500 ft of climbing, but the views are worth it!

We will be cycling on traffic free trails, B roads, 1 busy road and smaller country roads. This bike is suitable for all types of bikes.

We will be stopping at a café in Betwas for an early lunch and Risca for a cuppa and cake.

Please wear a helmet and bring waterproofs, just in case.

We never leave anyone behind
