Starting point

Roxburghshire
TD9 8BE

We will meet at the Leisure Centre where there is parking if you are coming by car. Once we've completed our bike check, we'll head out on the lovely new smooth Waverley Walk, joining Hamilton Road. Pedalling out past the junction for Hornshole and onwards to Hassendean, we'll take a right at the cross roads and left on towards Dean foot and into Ancrum. Pedalling through Ancrum and onwards, we will take a right at Pinnacle and head through Sandystones, turning left towards Longnewton, keeping left as we head to Bewlie and onwards to Lilliesleaf.

The Plough Inn opens at 1030 which is when we aim to arrive by. A cuppa and a scone or bacon butty will be on offer, so please bring pennies with you.

Once we're refreshed, we'll head back to Hawick past Harelaw and Horsleyhill.

Please ensure your bike is in good working order, your tyres are pumped up and you have with you any spares you may need for your particular model of bike. If you are using an E-Bike, please ensure you have sufficient power and a back-up plan should you have an electrical fault.

Always wear a helmet and gloves are advisable. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and if you have one, put a light on the rear of your bike. Water or snacks is also a good idea.
