Let's Ride Through Winter - Ride into the desert

PLEASE NOTE THIS RIDE IS VERY MUCH WEATHER DEPENDENT. The Romney Marsh and Dungeness area is a very flat and open landscape with keen winds and can be bitterly cold. If the forecast is not favourable, we will not be riding. Otherwise it is a beautiful landscape and England's only desert. There are suitable pubs/cafes along the route for refreshment stops. this is a countryside and coastal route starting on the promenade in Hythe - opposite Hythe Yacht Club.

We will be riding on a mixture of roads - country lanes, busy town roads and busy coastal roads.

A suitable stop for refreshments will be made during the ride.

Helmets are strongly advised to be worn. Fluids and snacks. Dress for the weather - layering is best. Essential medication. Tools and inner tube for your bike (if not tubeless). Cash/card for refreshments. Your bike must be in a roadworthy condition, please check your bike over before the ride, pump tyres to your required pressure, check brakes, pedals, gears etc.
