Come along and join us for the next mid-week ride series.
Free parking is available on the car park off Chorley New Road (directly opposite Park Street). There is another carpark off Spa Road but parking is restricted there to three hours and there is a height restriction barrier as well so beware if you transport your bike on the roof of your car. Toilet facilities are available at the café which is the starting point for the ride.
This route is a mixture of roads and Middlebrook Trail.
Elevation is approx. 538ft.
Average speed 6-8 mph.
The route begins outside the café at Queens Park. From here we will pick up the Middlebrook Trail pass through the golf course and continue along it until we reach the Middlebrook Retail Park. We will skirt around the retail park and head up to Chorley New Road. From there we will head through Horwich and weave our way over to Rivington Lane and head towards the Village Green Tea Room for our stop.
The return journey home is more or less the same route.
Please arrive 15 mins early for a bike and helmet check so that we can set off promptly at 10am. Remember to bring a spare inner tube and pump and, of course, your helmet. No helmet, no ride.
If you are not already a member of Horwich Ride Social then please email

Photographs will be taken during the ride which will be shared on our social media. Please let a ride leader know if you would prefer not to appear in any of them.
