Starting point

London
W2 6LA

Our first ride of 2025 is a last chance to see the Penguin Parade Sculpture Trail in the Fleet Street Quarter, before it finishes on 5 Jan https://www.fleetstreetquarter.co.uk/events/the-fleet-street-quarter-penguin-parade-sculpture-trail .

This is a short easy-going ride, with lots of stops to look at the penguins.

We will take the Elizabeth Line from Ealing Broadway to Paddington, then ride through the Royal Parks and follow Cycleway 3 across Parliament Square and along the Embankment to Blackfriars. From here, our trail begins. We will view eleven of the twelve penguin statues, on a twisty-turny route through the narrow back streets around Fleet Street.

After completing the trail, we will ride over Blackfriars Bridge and make our way along the South Bank for refreshments at the Street Food Market https://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/food-and-drink/southbank-centre-food-market/ . We can buy food at the stalls and go inside the South Bank Centre to sit down in a warm space.

We will then ride up to Farringdon to take the Elizabeth Line back to Ealing, or you are free to make your own way home.
