Organized by groups in the community, these rides are a great way to meet new people, explore your local area and to have fun riding your bike. You can find rides that are suitable for your level of experience and interests whilst enjoying being part of a social cycling community.

This is a totally off road route with many challenges but a lot of fun some areas may need walking a little with the bike . We set off from the start point sampling a few climbs and brilliant Downhills from the start we head around on the dearne valley trail towards conisbrough. We enter the Don gorge that runs along side the river Don taking in the challenging routes around steetly quarry , we follow the river Don all the way into conisbrough we cross Doncaster road into the magnificent trails on the conisbrough craggs , we go through some lovely woodland denaby woods into the village of old denaby, we circle around to our cafe stop at McDonalds. After our break our return journey takes us along the beautiful towpath from mexbrough towards the lock at denaby ings . We climb then up towards Cadeby viillage using a small section of the TPT trail . We head into the beautiful woodland of melton woods some really good single track adventures. We cycle for a short distance on quiet country lane until we cross over fields on bridleways to sprotbrough village we then drop down to sprotbrough lock on the north side of the river we then head to the south side crossing the bridge on boat lane . We climb to get onto the south side trail which takes us all the way to hexthrope park beware may be some overgrown area etc but fast and excilating . We skirt our way thru the city using the cycle infrastructure etc
Some fantastic off road routes farm trails some tarmaced areas . Woodland areas, some overgrown sections may be challenging, rocky and tree stump areas , and some areas to be walked with bike to get to routes where we need to be . Some lovely bridleways country lanes too woodland single track trails
Our main cafe stop will be at conisbrough McDonald’s. We will be stopping in the quarry to do some of the downhill runs optional . Photo opportunities etc also we will stop for regular fluid intakes.
Helmets are advisable for this ride arm and leg covering is advisable with possible knee and elbow protection optional. Plenty of fluids on board, spare inner tubes and pump and tools to repair a puncture. Cash /card for method of potential purchase at our cafe stop.
