There are no toilets available at the start point.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time for a ride brief and quick bike check.

A steady MTB ride that can be used as a progressive ride.
Leaving Wallsuches, we begin our first climb out of Horwich over towards the Smithills area of Bolton, cycling on a mix of tarmac, gravel and rough tracks. The route has a lot of ups and downs so suitable for a confident rider who is both physically and mentally fit. The route isnt technical but mtb experience is essential. We will aim to stop at Smithills tea room for a quick brew before returning back to the start on this circular route.
Please check your bike over the night before and arrive ready to ride.
Ensure you are fully equipped with spares and repairs for your own bike.
As always, no helmet no ride.

A steady/challenging MTB ride over to our annual pop up cafe. Starting from outside of Curleys fisheries, Wallsuches, Horwich, we begin our first climb out of Horwich over towards the Smithills area of Bolton, cycling on a mic od tarmac, gravel and rough tracks. This route has a lot of ups and downs so suitable to a confident rider who is both physically and mentally fit. The route isn't technical but mtb experience is a must. We will stop at the pop up cafe for refreshments including home made cake so please bring your pennies. All monies go straight back into the group to assist us in continuing to provide the array of rides that we do. Please check your bike over the night before and arrive ready to ride. Ensure you are fully equipped with spares and repairs for your own bike, along with plenty of drinks and snacks. We are not fair weather cyclists so will ride in all weathers, so ensure you are dressed appropriately for the occasion. As always with HRS, no helmet, no ride.
