Monday Breezing from Walkerburn to Eddleston and back via the Meldons

We'll be taking cycle paths and quiet roads from Walkerburn to Peebles. We then head around Cademuir to Lyne Station taking in a short section of track before heading off through the Meldon Hills to Eddleston. There is a short ride along the A72 from Lyne Station to the Meldons turn off. Please be vigilant on this section. The descent off the Meldons can be fast and has some tight turns. Ride within your capability. In Eddleston we will have the choice of refreshments at the Horseshoe Inn or the Scots Pine Café further up the road. There is a cycle path on the side of the road. From Eddleston we follow the cycle path all the way back to Walkerburn with a short section in the 20s through Peebles. The road here is narrow due to cars parked on both sides of the road and can be busy with traffic in both directions. Please take care here and consider other road users.

Please wear a helmet and carry enough food and drink for your ride. Your bike should be in good working order and you should have appropriate tools including pump, spare tube, tyre levers and a multitool.
A spare jacket/waterproof is also recommended.
