Starting point

London
W5 2BY

This is a longer ride across to East London, and returning by London Overground from Camden Road. There are few gradients and much of the route is on segregated cycleways, so it is an easy going ride despite the distance.

From Ealing, we ride through Acton and cross the A40 to continue on the cycle path through Wormwood Scrubs. We take quieter roads through North Kensington, to enter Hyde Park at Lancaster Gate. Then we follow the segregated cycle tracks through the Royal Parks to Parliament Square and onto the Embankment.

Cycleway 3 takes us all the way via Tower Hill and Cable Street to Limehouse, where we have our refreshment stop at the quirky Yurt Café https://www.rfsk.org.uk/yurt-cafe . (If the café is too busy, we will have to ride on to Victoria Park for refreshments. Have enough water and snacks with you for this eventuality!)

Our onward ride loops around Limehouse and picks up a short stretch of the Regent’s Canal, to bring us through Mile End Park, then through Victoria Park into Hackney. We cross London Fields and follow quieter back roads to the segregated cycleway on Royal College Street, and then to Camden Road for London Overground services home.
