Starting point

Lancashire
L39 2YN

This ride is probably the purest road ride I've ever completed so it's suitable for skinny tyres as the surface is 100% tarmac. Thanks to Maggi of Merseyside CTC for creating the original ride which takes us on a massive loop over a mix of main roads, quiet country lanes and isolated narrow roads over the West Lancashire Mosses. For more info on Merseyside CTC's twice-weekly rides on Wednesday & Sunday, please visit their website: https://www.merseysidectc.co.uk/

Description of the ride (by kind permission):
"(The) route will take us out of Ormskirk to Ring o Bells, across Hoscar Moss, Bispham Green, Croston, Bretherton, Mere Brow and to Twin Lakes Velo Café for lunch. Then across to Halsall Moss to Ainsdale, turning east from Ainsdale looping back again across Plex Moss back to Ormskirk. Fairly flat."

Come along to enjoy the fresh sea air, great coffee from an independent roastery and spectacular scenery!
