Leavesden Cycle Hub - to Ley Hill

Leaving from Leavesden Cycle Hub this steady route takes us to out to Ley Hill and stops at Chipperfield before returning to Leavesden Country Park.

The ride goes out through Hunton Bridge and on to Chandlers Cross and continues to Belsize and Flaunden before looping back round to head to Chipperfield for the stopping point at Blackwells café and then on to Kings Langley to return via Abbots Langley.

This is a 'pace of the group' ride; we will simply ride at a pace everyone in the group is comfortable with and expect the pace average to be around 8-10 mph, depending on the group.

Please check the weather forecast and wear appropriate clothing for the conditions. If you have a small rucksack so you can take layers off or put on as needed. Also bring some money for our stopping point if you would like to buy a drink, snack or light lunch.

Please bring a spare inner tube as this makes it easier to fix a puncture if it happens, rather than getting out the rubber glue. If you don't have a spare inner tube, Leavesden Cycle Hub sell them for £4 brand new, or second hand ones for £1 (no patches) & 50p (patched).

Please make sure your bike is in good working order before the ride, especially that the tyres are pumped up and the brakes work! Leavesden Cycle Hub can check over your bike and we can pump up your tyres for you if you come in good time before the ride. If your bike might need a little more TLC or hasn't been ridden for a while, you can always bring it in for a free assessment; we're Not-For-Profit and promise to give you an honest assessment and price if your bike needs fixing, fine tuning or a full service...
