Springtime always means a visit to the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park, to view the glorious azaleas. https://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/richmond-park/things-to-see-and-do/isabella-plantation . This is the longer of our two rides to visit the Plantation this year, and also includes a visit to an important historic church in Putney.

From Ealing, we ride down to Richmond Bridge, cross the river and follow the riverside path to Ham. We turn across Ham Common and have a short sharp climb through the Ham Gate up to the top of Richmond Park. We will park our bikes outside the Isabella Plantation and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the gardens.

After visiting the Isabella Plantation, we will ride across Richmond Park, and make our way down to Putney, where we will have refreshments at the Putney Pantry Cafe attached to St Mary's Church https://www.putneypantry.com/. We can also view the small exhibition about the important Putney Debates http://www.putneydebates.com/ which took place here in 1647.

Leaving Putney, we cross back over the river and return to Ealing via Fulham, Hammersmith, and Cycleway 9 through Chiswick.
