Starting point

London
NW10 3SH

We go on an easy-going ride to Holland Park to see the impressive Kyoto Garden. We cycle via Wormwood Scrubs on the way in and come back along the Grand Union Canal. The route is a mix of quiet roads and cycling paths and some short, normal traffic roads to help build up confidence.

Holland Park is our coffee and toilet stop, and we also spend some time here appreciating the beauty of Kyoto Garden. Cycling is not permitted in the park so we will have to push our bikes to go around and out of it, which slows us down a little.

We aim to get back at Roundwood Park before 2pm. The route is mainly flat and suitable to most bikes.

If you find this ride fully booked, sign up to the waiting list as spaces always become available nearer the date. However, please do not sign up if you’re not sure you can come.

IMPORTANT POINTS: *Helmets aren't compulsory but advisable. *Check that your tyres are pumped and bring a spare inner tube and all necessary tools in case of a puncture. *If you can't make it anymore, cancel your space so someone else can join. *We have a 3-strike policy: those who don’t cancel but don’t turn on the day of the ride 3 times will be banned from booking on other rides. *Only riders who booked themselves on the ride will be allowed to join. *Unless the weather takes a nasty turn making it unsafe or unpleasant to cycle, this ride will go ahead even if it rains. Dress for the weather and bring a raincoat just in case. *We sometimes video record our rides which are later published on YouTube. By joining our rides, you are authorising your image to appear on the video and photos.
