HoH to Denholm (long route) via Lovers Lane, Dean brae, Bonchester Heights, Dene Road

Route is on quiet roads with a section on an A class road.
We shall cycle from Heart of Hawick car park through Crowbyres then take the next left up Lovers Lane. Continue on that road until you reach Dean Brae. Turn right onto the A6088 road, cycling towards Bonchester until you reach Bonchester Heights where we turn left heading downhill past Whitriggs then down Dene Road into the village of Denholm. Taking the right junction then turn left and left again to the Butchers shop where you take the junction to the right. Cycle out of Denholm and straight up the hill to meet the B6359 at Hassendean Farm. Turn left at that junction and head up Horseleyhill and back to Hawick.

Please ensure your bike is in working condition and your tyres are pumped up. Please carry spare tubes, pump and tools for your particular bike. If using an E-bike please ensure your battery is fully charged at the start and you have a back up plan to get back to Hawick if you have a mechanical.
Always wear a helmet,and gloves are advisable. Wear suitable clothing for the weather on the night. Bring a drink and a snack to refuel. We will stop to regroup and take photo's.
