A new version of the guided ride, Highlands in the flatlands, to cater for a visit to the popular Twin Lakes Velo cafe.
We meet at The Farmers Arms at Burscough and then travel out to Bispham Green where we pick up the main route we travel out towards Wrightington but swing around and into Croston. Look out for the Highland cattle on route as we climb up towards the church. We will then drop down into Eccleston and the Twin Lakes Velo Cafe.
After our meal break we will head off through Croston, Mawdesley, Rufford, Holmeswood and back to the start point at the Farmers, where I hope you will join me in a glass or a coffee at the end of the ride.
We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 14 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together.
Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group!
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock.
It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
Please arrive at least 15 mins before the ride start time, (9.45) So that we are able to get away at the stated start time.
