Meeting at the heart of Hawick and after our bike check we’ll turn right and pedal up Cogsmill and over and down to Shankend viaduct. There are some nice views along this route, and of-course we’ll stop for photos.
We will turn round here and head back to Hawick. There are no major climbs on this route so hopefully this cycle will suit everyone.
A helmet is mandatory, wear appropriate clothing, please bring a snack and drink.
Make sure you have a spare tube and tools required to fix a puncture.
Electric bike users please ensure your battery is fully charged and have a rescue plan in place should it be required.
This is usually a quiet country road.
