Come and join us for this social ride with a leisurely stop at Foodie Friday. Celebrate completing the end of the working week by spinning those legs and having a good natter amongst other like-minded folk.

This route takes us on a variety of paths from woodland, canal, and country including a ride through a public park. We head off from picturesque Rivington and take in the surrounding village of Adlington before joining the canal path leading us into the Wigan district, Haigh.

There is a winding, steady climb here up until the pit stop, where you can reward yourself with a wide array of refreshments. The return leg will take in some farm tracks and country lanes before retracing our steps back to the starting point. There are a couple of inlines but don’t let this put you off, you can always dismount and push.

As always, helmets are compulsory on all HRS rides. Please also equip yourself with your own innertubes, tyre levers and bike pump and bring your pennies for the rest stop. Appropriate clothing for our british weather please. Its better to have too much than too little.
