Fylde Fish and no Ferry, Let's Ride Through Winter

This ride is suitable for all bikes. 2 routes to choose from on the day. Inland first or prom first. It all depends on wind direction and strength.
Staring from Squires Gate, we reverse the route of the FF&F meander, riding along the coastal path to Cleveleys. The ride will then turn towards Thornton, Little Thornton and Poulton, swinging across the river Wyre through Hambleton and Preesall and finally Knott End, for lunch.
The return is via Preesall, Pressall Park, crossing back over the river Wyre to Poulton le Fylde, Hardhorn, past the zoo, Stanley Park, through Blackpool back to Squires Gate.
We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 13 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together.
Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group!
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, helmet & lights checked and ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock.

This is the reverse of the Fylde Fish and Ferry ride, turning off the castal path at Cleveleys

This route uses mostly quiet country lanes although there are a couple of busy roads on the return.

We plan to stop for lunch at Knott End where there are a number of cafes, 2 bakeries and a chippy. Take your choice.
