A scenic route, weather permitting, utilising mainly quiet country lanes with some busier roads encountered. We leave Whalley and head up to Billington, through Dinckley and onto Ribchester. After a brief pause to admire the River Ribble, we then head up to Longridge, then skirting Inglewhite and onto Chipping for the refreshment stop. Leaving Chipping, we then proceed to Cow Ark, via Doeford Bridge . and return to our start via Bashall Eaves and Great Mitton.
The distance is 32 miles with 1800 feet of climbing, mainly longish drags with some exhilarating downhills.
