Celebrating Ann's birthday!

Join us on a mid-week special ride to celebrate Ann's birthday. Ann couldn't decide on her favourite ride, so I have chosen one of our rides that we have done on a regular basis, albeit slightly shorter (and one that doesn't include the hills that Ann so loves)!

We will ride along Renny's Lane to Sherburn. From here it is all on quiet roads, through Littletown, Haswell Plough and Thornely. At Wheatley Hill we will visit two of Ray Lonsdale sculptures before we go for a cafe stop at Horns Garden Centre, where we will see yet another one of Ray Lonsdale's sculptures.

Our return journey will be through Shotton Colliery and back to Haswell, Littletown and Sherburn.

In order for the ride to leave promptly, please arrive in plenty of time so we can carry out bike checks, etc. prior to us setting off. Please make sure your bike is in good working condition and bring a spare tube to fit your tyres, tyre levers and a bike pump. At this time of year, the weather can be cold and wet so please ensure you layup in warm and waterproof clothing. It is better to be overdressed and remove layers as you warm up. As with all our rides, we strongly recommend you wear a helmet.
