Starting point

London
N1C 4BU

We begin and end the ride at Kings Cross station. If taking the train from the Harrow area you need the 0930 from Pinner or 0935 from Harrow on the Hill. This is a Breeze Harrow ride, but all women are welcome and everyone is very friendly. We'll take the Quietway from Kings Cross along quiet roads and cycle paths. It is not traffic-free but it is mostly very quiet. Passing through the streets of Islington and Hackney we emerge onto the Lea Valley towpath past parks, allotments and canal boats to reach the reservoirs, where kingfishers have been seen. After our coffee at the Wetlands Centre we return along most of the same route, with a variation at the end to arrive via the new developments on the former Kings Cross goods yards.

This is a #BreezeThroughWinter ride - if you come on four rides during January and February you'll receive a reward.

Route rating

This is a ride to the new Wetlands centre in Walthamstow through the middle of the reservoirs.

Most of the route is on the quiet roads and park paths of Quietway 2 and along the Lea valley canal.

We will have our coffee at the Wetlands Centre https://walthamstowwetlands.com

You don't need any special gear, just a working bike, a lock, money for the cafe and some water.

First-timers welcome!
