*** Please note that this ride is NOT suitable for e-bikes, as they are not allowed on the cable car***

Wandle Trail through Beddington Park, crossing Croydon on quieter roads where possible, then on to the Waterlink Way which will take us through to Greenwich. We will then follow the Thames Path past the O2 and will cross the river using the cable cars. Our route takes us past the Royal Dock and through Beckton Park onto the Greenway.

We will stop for coffee/lunch at one of the venues within the park, either the Velopark Cafe, (where you can sit and watch any action in the Velodrome,) or the venue opposite. My preferred route back is from Stratford International station.

Please bring a good, strong lock as we would have to leave the bikes outside for a short while. I am happy to wait with bikes, if you want to take a look inside and then use the cafe over the road (with bikes in sight) as an alternative.

Suggested routes back by train are either:
Stratford (Elizabeth Line) to Farringdon, then Farringdon (Thameslink) to Carshalton/Sutton, OR Stratford International (High Speed) to St Pancras, then St Pancras (Thameslink) to Carshalton /Sutton. Stratford International station is easier to find and navigate.

This is not a hilly ride, however I am classing it as challenging, as we will need to maintain a steady pace throughout.

Although much of this ride is along off road cyclepaths, quiet roads and canal towpaths, there are some sections of busier roads.

Please ensure that your bike is in good working order, and that you bring helmet, pump, levers, spare inner tube, snacks, drinks and money/card for trains and cafe stop.
