Breeze over Epsom Downs

A lovely circular route from Carshalton through Woodmansterne, Banstead, Tattenham Corner, and passing through Nonsuch Park on the way back. There is some gentle climbing up to Banstead, and an option of flat or more hilly routes back.

We will stop for coffee and a chat at the Nonsuch Pantry, over half way round.

The route uses mainly quiet roads and cyclepaths through parks, with a couple of short hard packed gravelly sections.

Lovely circular route, with great views from the Downs on a clear day.

Please ensure that your bike is in good working order and remember to bring your helmet and a spare inner tube (tyre levers and pump too if you have them). You may also wish to bring a drink, snack, money/card, lock, and hand sanitizer too.

Covid-19: You should not attend this ride if you, or anyone in your household, has Covid-19 symptoms; if you are in the extremely clinically vulnerable category, or if you have been asked to stay home by the UK Government Test and Trace system. If you become unwell between booking the ride and the ride date, please remember to cancel your place so that it becomes available for another rider, as numbers are restricted. If you become unwell with Covid-19 in the days following the ride, or test positive, please contact the ride leader. There is no requirement to wear a face covering while riding, but you may do so if you wish.
