This week we will head towards Merton Abbey Mills.

These easygoing 'Breeze around the local area' rides will vary in distance from about 4 to 12 miles, perfect for those new to cycling, or returning to cycling. We will ride at the pace of the slowest and nobody will get left behind. Lots of riding through parks with an opportunity to chat, and some quiet roads, dismounting if necessary to cross major roads at crossings.

Depending on the length of the ride, we may stop for coffee (and cake maybe) half way through, or at the end (at Simon's Cafe) if it's a shorter one.

Please dress for the weather, bring a drink and a snack if needed, and a spare inner tube if bringing your own bike.

Hub bikes and helmets are available free of charge to use for this ride, although you are welcome to bring your own. Please check that your brakes work and your tyres are firm. There is a track pump at the Hub if you need to add a little more air.

These rides will be along cyclepaths, through parks and along quiet roads, with the surface being a mixture of tarmac and hard packed gravel.

First-timers welcome!
