Beginners Beyond the Bay Cycle Ride! to Penarth and Sully

Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or if you have been asked to self isolate due to Covid. Whilst cases remain high we recommend you take a lateral flow test before joining Breeze Rides.

As the last Monday of the month this will be a longer ride up to Cardiff City Centre and back. We will stick to cycle paths as far as possible but there will be small amounts of quiet road. Aimed at newer/more nervous riders. Every other monday there will be a shorter, entirely traffic free ride.

Exact route to be decided nearer the time - one possibility follows, another option is Ely Trail linking to Taff trail. There may be a small section on road, but will keep traffic free as much as possible. We will head up Lloyd George Avenue (on the cycle path) towards the city centre. There a few bits around the station where we may have to walk as paths not quite finished, then we will join the Taff trail and new cycle paths towards the Castle and possibly a loop of Bute Park too, we will then head back down the Taff trail to the Bay at the end.

To enable those who are short on time to join the ride we'll save the coffee stop til the end, and go to a cafe in Cardiff Bay afterwards.

You will need to bring a bike in working order and clothing suitable for the weather! If you want a coffee at the end bring a bike lock and money/card!
