We're off to visit Wimbledon to take in the tennis atmosphere. We'll pass through the village admiring the themed shop window displays as we go, before crossing the common for a quiet refreshment stop at the Windmill Cafe.

We'll follow he Wandle trail to Merton Abbey Mills, then turn off towards Raynes Park before the climb up to Wimbledon Village. Those of you who have done this ride before will remember that there is a steep climb along quiet residential roads up to the village, but there is a handily placed 3-way traffic light system around roadworks, so a good excuse to get off and walk this section this time!

On the return journey, we'll ride close to the tennis action before passing through Wimbledon Park, to look at the camping/queueing area. From there, we'll rejoin the Wandle Trail back to Carshalton.

Quiet roads, parks and cyclepaths with a couple of gravelly stretches and a couple of short sections where we may have traffic with us.

Please ensure that your bike is in good working order and remember to bring your helmet and a spare inner tube (tyre levers and pump too if you have them). You may also wish to bring a drink, snack, money/card and lock.
