All the Ps EASYGOING RIDE – LADIES ONLY Sunday 25th July 10.00 am. Starting outside Luciano’s at Middlebrook. Please arrive 10-15 mins beforehand for a quick bike check and ride briefing. BL6 6JA If you have not completed a ride participant form previously for one of the HRS rides, please request one via email [email protected], Facebook messenger or through the lets ride site. Average speed – 7-8 mph Elevation – 400 ft. Miles – 9.5 miles. Cycle Type – Hybrid, Electric. Time 2.5 hrs. Ride leaders: Lesley Doxsey & Val Bourne Heading off on this easy-going ride, we will cycle along shared cycle paths, the Middlebrook Trail, and quiet roads through to our cafe stop. There is one short steady incline to contend with in Lostock. Do not let that put you off, you can always dismount and push. After our break we will continue for a very short section along the main road before re-joining the cycle path . Using the shared cycle path down past Bolton garden centre we continue on this path looping round to Chorley New Road where we then use the new widened cycle path until we head off on a quiet road to rejoin the Middlebrook trail for the final section back to our meeting point. This ride is aimed at ladies getting back into cycling who wish to increase their confidence in a small group and ladies progressing from s2s. We have a lovely cafe stop for you at Amore so bring your pennies! Please ensure your bike is in good working condition. Check your gears and brakes and if they are a little bit stiff/rusty and you are not sure how to remedy, take it to your local bike shop. They will be happy to take a look. Although helmets are only recommended by law and not deemed to be essential, anyone not wearing a helmet will not be able to join the ride unfortunately. We do have bikes and helmets to hire if required. Please email [email protected] for further information . Please bring your spare inner tubes, bike levers and pump (don’t worry about the latter if you don’t have one). A lock would be advisable for the café stop. It is essential that all ride participants carry their own PPE, that is mask, anti bac gel/wipes and tissues. First aid consumables will be provided by the leader but you will need to self-medicate if it is safe to do so. Don't say no until you've had a go!

First-timers welcome!
