We ride pedal powered Mountain bikes, because they’re comfy, and easier to lift over stiles & gates than eBikes, and, we like our coffee/comfort stops. We often have to do the Lift onto Back wheel manoeuvre to negotiate a swing gate or two, and sometimes we have to lift over a stile or other obstacle. Our routes aren’t designed with e-bikes in mind. We enjoy exploring cross country off road routes on as many gravel & dirt trails, tracks, paths, & bridleways as we can find, but we sometimes have to use small tarmac lanes too. We ride mostly around Rotherham Doncaster Worksop Chesterfield and the South Yorkshire/N.Notts area in general but we also ride into eastern Derbyshire, and sometimes beyond. We aren't put off by poor weather and we ride all year round, come rain or shine, or even mild frost or snow, and we don't mind a bit of mud & puddles, or overgrown vegetation. We enjoy our rides, it’s not a race and we don’t seek out the steepest hills, just enjoyable cross country routes.
