Starting point

We will begin at Walkers Heath Park, Walkers Heath Road, and head out on quiet local roads. The first part of the ride involves some on‑road cycling as we make our way towards Monyhull Hall Road, where we will join the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal.

Once we reach the canal entrance, we will leave the road and follow the Stratford Canal towpath all the way to Wedge’s Bakery. Please be aware that the towpath varies in quality: it can be lumpy, uneven, and muddy, especially after wet weather. For this reason, a mountain bike or hybrid with wider tyres is strongly recommended to ensure comfort and stability.

As we approach Wedge’s, there is a section of steep steps leading up from the towpath. All riders will need to be able to carry or push their bike up the steps. We will take this at a steady pace and support each other as needed.

After a well‑earned stop at Wedge’s Bakery, we will return the same way along the towpath and roads back to Walkers Heath Park.
