Starting from - Meet outside Station South Cycle Café, Stockport Road, Manchester M19 3NP, off the Fallowfield Loop, by the outdoor benches & tables. Nearest central Manchester train stations: ~4 miles from Piccadilly, Oxford Road & Deansgate; the closest being Levenshulme Station at less than 0.5 mile away from start point.

N. B. the ride finishes very close to East Didsbury train station, on the same Manchester Airport railway line to the aforementioned city centre ones. M19 3NP

Starting from Station South Cycle Café, a short distance from Levenshulme train station, we ride back down the Fallowfield Loop, NCN Route 6:60, through Sale Water Park & along the Bridgewater Canal towpath NCN Route 62 (Transpenine Trail), til we get to the TPT carpark in Broadheath. We then continue along its wide shared path to Lymm then some sections of main roads towards Grappenhall Heys Walled Gardens, Warrington, where we will have our lunch break at around 12 noon. The return route comprises of similar NCN routes towards Timperley & Northenden for another 17 miles til we finish by the NCN Route 62 Millennium Mile Post (totem pole) close to East Didsbury train station.

A flat & easy ride mostly along the National Cycle Network (NCN), one of the UK's national treasures that was created (1978), built (1995) & to this day maintained by Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (the new name for the Active Travel charity Sustrans) in partnership with other organisations & with help from dedicated volunteers as well as generous supporters alike.
