Starting from Station South Cycle Café, a short distance from Levenshulme train station, we ride back down the Fallowfield Loop, NCN Route 6:60, through Sale Water Park & along the Bridgewater Canal towpath NCN Route 62 (Transpenine Trail), til we get to the TPT carpark in Broadheath. We then continue along its wide shared path to Lymm then some sections of main roads towards Grappenhall Heys Walled Gardens, Warrington, where we will have our lunch break at around 12 noon. The return route comprises of similar NCN routes towards Timperley & Northenden for another 17 miles til we finish by the NCN Route 62 totem pole, close to East Didsbury train station.

A flat & easy ride mostly along the National Cycle Network (NCN) one of the UK's national treasures that was created (1978), built (1995) & currently maintained by Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (the new name for my fave cycling charity, Sustrans) in partnership with other organisations & with help from dedicated volunteers as well as generous supporters alike.
