This route starts with a trip on the Mersey Ferry from Liverpool to Seacombe. The cheapest option is to purchase an all zone saver ticket prior to arrival at Pier Head, which can be used from 9.30.
A zone ticket is not available at the Ferry terminal and needs to be purchased prior to arrival, from any Merseytravel train station. My advice would be to purchase the day before making sure it is dated for Monday 25th September
At 10 am the ferry service becomes a river cruise so only runs on the hour. Cycling north along the promenade and completing the wirral way to Pargate/Neston for lunch before crossing Wirral back to catch the ferry to Liverpool from Woodside. Note, the last ferry from Woodside leaves at 4.30 pm.
We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 14 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together.
Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group!
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, helmet & lights checked and ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock.
It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
Please be at the start point at least 15 mins before the ride start time, ready to ride, so that we are able to catch the ferry at the stated start time of 10.00
