Windy Roads To The Windmill

The route starts at the Charnley Arms, Shevington and goes out via Mawdsley, Lathom and Burscough. After our Cafe break we will return via Mere Brow and through to Croston via the quieter lanes back to the start point.

There will be a refreshment stop at the halfway point of the ride. Short breaks taken when necessary

Helmets are always required on Breeze rides. Please also be self sufficient with your own roadside repair items including spare inner tubes, and pumps. Drinks and small snacks may be required as the half way stop is at 16 miles.

This is a fairly steady road ride with not too much elevation, however there are a few undulations at the beginning and end of the ride. So the ride and terrain is best suited to road bikes or very light hybrids. We do not leave anyone behind and we will have regular re groups for any slower riders. Please ensure your bike is road worthy and check it at least the night before.
