This ride is weather dependent. Starting at Grove Ferry Picnic Site (charges apply). Refreshment stop will be at Stonelees Golf Centre. We will ride towards Sandwich via Ware and Preston, cycling through Sandwich showing off our jerseys (lol), and continue out of Sandwich along the cycle paths heading for Stonelees. After refreshments, ride back on yourself to the fuel station/Subway food outlet, cross the main road using the crossing, stay on the shared cycle path and join Jutes Lane (which runs alongside the dual carriageway - DO NOT join the carriage way. Jutes Lane continues all the way into Ebbsfleet Lane where we pick up the road into Minster, Monkton and Plucks Gutter. There is a very short section of cycling on the A253 for approximately 1/4 mile (you join this road on a left turn minor to major, and then leave it on a left turn major to minor, thus minimising risk). Our ride will take us through some beautiful countryside.

If there are a lot of us, we will ride in smaller groups, being mindful to other road users.

Our new group jerseys have been attracting some lovely comments, especially in a large group. If you have a jersey and want to wear it, please do.

This ride is for all members of the Whitstable Oyster Belles ride group, if you have the new jersey, would be great if you could wear it to show it off.

We will be riding on country roads with some traffic.

Our refreshment stop will be in Sandwich. Specifics to be communicated nearer the time.

Helmets are not compulsory, but are strongly recommended. Other items to bring - inner tubes (if you are not tubeless) and tools to remove your wheel and replace said tube. Essential medication you rely on (ie inhalers, epi-pens); cash/card for refreshments; dress for the weather.

We never leave anyone behind
