We’re Going on a “Burr” Hunt!

Starting from the car park at Halfords on Manchester Road we pick up the cycle path that takes us over St Peter's Way and all the way Leverhulme Park, from there we will head towards Bradley Fold where we will pick up the cycle path towards Radcliffe. From Radcliffe we travel along the canal path passing by Elton Reservoir and Bury Grammar School. There we continue on the cycle path which takes us all the way to the Burrs County Park. When we arrive at the Burrs will stop at The Lampost cafe for refreshments before we return to our starting point. This route gently meanders along new cycle paths that are flat and welcoming and takes in some roads towards Bury. At points the canal tow path is cobbled, and round Elton reservoir is quite uneven, the paths are much more suitable for thicker tyres.

Please come equipped with with a spare inner tube, pump, lock, tyre levers and water. Helmets are mandatory. Due to the current pandemic please bring along some antibacterial wipes, hand gel and tissues. We will ride at a social distance of 2metres.
